Kenibatz - Weekend Fashion Photographer

I have little interest in politics, but Senator Barack Obama’s win in the 2008 United States Presidential elections is worth noting.

When he takes his oath and officially assumes office in January 2009, Obama will not only be the president of the USA, but he effectively becomes the most influential leader of the free democratic world. His decisions and policies, particularly with regards to business and warfare, will affect every country in the world who deals with America in whatever capacity.

As an environmentalist, I’m particularly interested in Obama’s campaign on energy independence. If more leaders like Obama show a serious effort for improving the state of the world’s climate, then perhaps the generations after us will inherit a planet they can actually live comfortably in.

I’m hopeful and optimistic for the change that Obama intends to bring. Winning the election was the easy part, but the real hard work is just about to begin.

I love Multiply. Of all the social networks I’m engaged in, I find Multiply as the most useful and practical.

As a photographer, I can post my pictures there to promote my work and either get feedback for improvement or be inspired by positive comments. I’ve also met most of my new friends, business contacts and potential love interests ( haha! ) through Multiply.

If there’s one thing I (slightly) don’t like about Multiply, it’s the ads. (more…)

“Photogenic” as defined by wikipedia, is “a subject that usually appears physically attractive or striking in photographs, regardless of their physical appearance in real life.”

How that relates to the subject of my revitalized blog… I’ve no idea. I just wanted a witty title that combines my life and my passion for photography.

The title actually refers to the focus of my blog now: Photography and my very colorful and somewhat interesting life (as an amateur fashion photographer and otherwise). I’ll be telling stories of my photography adventures and sharing lessons that may hopefully be of help to fellow photographers.

Since I’m just an amateur myself, any lessons being imparted here are directed towards fellow newbies. My stories revolve mostly on fashion photography, studio photography, working with models, and working with Photoshop.

With that said, thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow. I’ll strive to make this a daily habit because I’d love to chronicle my life so that my future children can read it someday, be inspired, and say “Wish dad was a video-blogger…”.
